K&D Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 2004 in Atlanta, GA by Kandi Wingate. Kandi received her B.A. from Lamar University and she is a certified Project Manager Professional [PMP]. She has a solid track record in telecom operations, project management, and collocation consulting, with more than ten years of experience as a Project Director and Sr. Project Manager – managing various projects including collocation projects, relocation from one data center floor to another, data center moves, managed services, wiring and cable management for voice, data, and equipment, technical support, troubleshooting and more. She has complemented her innate ability to get results on time and within budget with formal training in project management. She uses her natural interpersonal skills to successfully manage a project and process partners throughout project deployment.

Throughout her experiences managing projects for Fortune 500 companies, Kandi realized that many organizations lack personnel with enough knowledge/experience to successfully and skillfully take on data center moves, collocation projects, relocation from one data center floor to another, wiring/cable moves, etc. She has witnessed first hand the disasters that arise because inexperienced personnel are assigned such tasks. Such disasters are caused by various mistakes such as: miscalculations in locations, power, HVAC capacities, equipment densities, or perhaps just misunderstanding the multiple layers of IT. Any of these mistakes and other common mistakes can severely damage IT operations and service availability – costing time and a lot of money to repair. This is primarily what motivated Kandi to birth K&D Enterprises
